We are looking for a SENDCO to join our vibrant nursery school located in Deptford. Graded as outstanding since 2009, Rachel McMillan has continued to provide quality early years’ education since 1914. The ethos of our nursery school is to offer the best early learning experience for our children as well as exemplary support to all our families.

You will have:

  • The National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or be willing to complete the SEN NPQ within 3 years of appointment
  • Substantial and successful teaching experience in the Early Years age range, demonstrating a commitment to Early Years achievement
  • A proven track record of supporting children with SEND
  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders in relation to statutory requirements with SEND pupils
  • Designated Safeguarding Officer training or a willingness to have this training in order to be a Deputy DSO.
  • A commitment to working in partnership with staff, parents and the community to promote inclusion and equity for all

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Teachers pay scale depending on experience plus SENCo allowance

Part-time (4 days per week) 0.8 / permanent contract
