SEND - Special Educational Needs and Disability

SEN Policy

At Rachel McMillan Nursery School we aim to create a listening atmosphere and environment where everyone is welcomed, all individual needs are met, support is given and information shared.

We aim to enable all children to become confident learners with a growing ability to communicate their own views.

We are committed to working in partnership with mums, dads and carers and outside agencies, to raise aspirations and expectations for children with SEND by focusing on the whole child, to ensure positive outcomes and to enable all children to fulfill their potential.

SEN Information Report (Local Offer)

All Greenwich maintained schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and /or Disabilities (SEND), and are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all children, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of children with a Special Educational Need and/or Disability being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible and where families want this to happen.
